Soprano Deborah Karpel has appeared as Countess Almaviva in concert performances of The Marriage of Figaro at Weill Hall and Merkin Hall, NYC and again as the Countess in a full production at the Shaker Mountain Performing Arts Festival in Massachusetts with the Albany Symphony Orchestra. Recently, Ms. Karpel sang the role of Mimi in La Boheme with Canti di Rena Opera Company at Le Frak Hall in Queens, New York. She was heard throughout the year as the lead singer of Metropolitan Klezmer and the all female Isle of Klezbos, in such venues as, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, The KlezMore Festival in Vienna, Austria and the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Ms. Karpel recently released her new CD "La Promessa."
